COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
SOSC’s Competitive program is divided into different tiers:
U13-U19
U9-U12 (Academy/Pre-Academy)
The typical fall season begins at the start of August and continues through early November and the spring season restarts in early January and runs through the beginning of May, though some teams may still have some practice, games, or tournaments after this.
Age groups: 2014 – 2004
Teams will end mid-November for winter break (teams may still have occasional practices/games/tournaments during this period based on field availability). Spring season begins early January and traditionally ends in May, but some teams may still have some practice, games, or tournaments after this.
High school soccer presents a unique challenge to year-round soccer. SOSC is committed to having our players join and excel in their high school soccer experience and to create a truly all-around balanced soccer player. The club season for high school age groups typically runs through mid-October to accommodate the high school season and restarts in early February.
For players not playing on high school soccer teams, there will be group training through the middle of November, with a break for winter and group training will begin again in early January until high school season ends, and regular team sessions begin.
Coaches All of our teams are coached by professionally licensed coaches, and work under a curriculum/training structure designed specifically for the different levels of players at South Orlando and are supported by our Competitive Director Miguel Gallardo.
