We are excited to have you as part of our Recreational Development program! We will make sure your player will develop their skills and love for the game while making new friends in a fun atmosphere.
All games will be played at Barber Park on Saturday mornings, regardless of the practice field location.
For any questions about the Recreational Soccer program, please email Dan Sherfield at playerdevelopment@southorlandosoccer.com.
South Orlando Soccer Club (SOSC) is a Coerver Partner Club and our Recreational Development Programs are designed to be the perfect entry point into the SOSC community for kids age 3 through middle school. We have two options for practice and training locations – Barber Park and Young Pine Park. Regardless of practice location, all games for both programs are played on Saturday mornings at Barber Park.
Fees for Fall 2023 are $175 per player and include (1) professional Coerver Skills training per week in addition to the team practices (typically 1-2 days a week). Each player will receive a Nike team jersey, socks, and shorts. You will need to purchase shin guards, which are required for all practices and games, a ball for practice (size 3 for ages 3-8 and size 4 for ages 9-l2), and cleats (optional and not required, but are highly recommended).
Registration closes on August 18, 2023. Late registration on or after August 19, 2023, is $195.
Whether you are trying soccer for the first time or have been playing for many years you will find our recreational program to be a safe and fun environment for every child to play soccer while learning the proper technical skills to play the game. We believe it is important for all kids to have access to the beautiful game and for every player in our program to have fun while learning the right skills that support their growth as a player and community member. We partner with Coerver Coaching to provide professional age-appropriate skills training for every player in our program. For players who desire to play in our competitive division, we also offer our Developmental Bridge Program exclusively to our SOSC Recreational Development players so they can improve their skills to prepare them for this next step in our club.
Do you know a middle schooler who just wants to play soccer or even learn the game for fun? South Orlando Soccer Club now has a new Middle School Recreational Division.
