  • We will not know the days of your child’s practice(s) until they are placed on a team after all registrations are in. Most teams will practice on Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. Our coaches select their practice day(s) and will notify you as soon as they receive their roster.
  • We are always looking for new coaches so if you are willing to jump in please contact Dan Sherfield at We will give you the training and equipment you need to be successful and you will receive a credit on your child’s player fees!
  • On game days, we recommend you bring sunblock, plenty of water to drink, and a chair to sit in. We also recommend that you arrive early so that games can start on time.
  • We will do our best to place every child with his or her friends or coach, but we cannot guarantee that we can fulfill your requests based on team size, the number of requests, age group, or whether the coach requested is actually coaching. Please note, teams are selected before you hear from your coach. Please understand we do the best we can to accommodate. Please be patient with our volunteers. Thank you for understanding.

Whether you are trying soccer for the first time or have been playing for many years you will find our recreational program to be a safe and fun environment for every child to play soccer while learning the proper technical skills to play the game. We believe it is important for all kids to have access to the beautiful game and for every player in our program to have fun while learning the right skills that support their growth as a player and community member. We partner with Coerver Coaching to provide professional age-appropriate skills training for every player in our program. For players who desire to play in our competitive division, we also offer our Developmental Bridge Program exclusively to our SOSC Recreational Development players so they can improve their skills to prepare them for this next step in our club.

Do you know a middle schooler who just wants to play soccer or even learn the game for fun?  South Orlando Soccer Club now has a new Middle School Recreational Division.
